1. Has your image of Jesus changed during the project? How or Why not?

No, I still see him in my father. My father is my saviour and i wish that im like him.

2. What do you feel is the best way to portray an image of Jesus and why?

For me, sacrifice. Jesus loves us so much that he died for our salvation and freedom.

3. What have you enjoyed about the project so far and what would you do differently?

Im learning more and more about jesus and his teachings. It is just strenghtening my faith.

JOURNAL 1

1. List TWO problems that could occur from students selecting their own groups.

  • People feeling unwanted if chosen last.

  • People will choose friends and won’t do any work. They won’t tell the teacher because then they will be afraid they wont be friend with that person again.

2. Which type of student do you think would be selected first?

Some one that gets really good marks and is a hard worker.

3. Why do you think they were selected first?

They are selected first, because people with that particular person will probably get good marks because that person will correct and guide the other group members with there work.

4. Which type of student do you was selected last?

The people that get distracted very easily, people that done do any work, people that get bad marks and rely on other people to do everything for them.

5. What beneficial characteristics can you offer to your group?

  • Imagination

  • Creativity

  • Assistance

6. List THREE things you personally would like to improve on during this project.

  • Time management

  • Organisation

  • General computer skills (Photo shop, in design, etc.)

There are 3 rubrics for this project.

2. Describe the purpose of the rubric?

The purpose of a rubric is to guide you and to give you a goal to achieve good marks by the assistance of your fellow peers and teachers. It also tells you what to do in a certain project. 

3. How can you use the rubric to get the best possible mark?

  • To cross-check all your answers.  

  • Tells you what you need to do to get an A.

  • Read it and re-read it to make sure your finished product has everything it needs for you to get an A.


Journal Entry 4 – Introduction to Images of Jesus

1) What form of medium (music, art or literature ) allows you to best connect with Jesus and Why?
Drawing. I see him in every role model/father figure. 

2) Why has Jesus been portrayed in so many different ways throughout history?

Yes. I get confused by how many photos there are of him, but i see him as my father. My father is my Jesus.

3) How is Jesus portrayed at Parramatta Marist?

By all the love going round and the sense of belonging. There is a lot of love in the atmosphere for our fellow peers and teachers.

4) What artistic time period do you think best represents your image of Jesus and why?

Know. I see him everyday in my prayers and thoughts. Like i sead i see him in my father.

5) Identify one image of Jesus that appeals to you. What do you like about the representation?

6) What factors currently shape your image of Jesus and why.
Jesus

I think this picture because it reminds me how much Jesus suffered and loves us and to know that he was saved and ressurected from the dead just renews my faith.

2) Why might it be important for young people to identify with an image of Jesus?

So they see him as a role model/ leader and Brother.

3) Where in your life do you most associate with images of Jesus?

In prayer. We talk to the lord and his father up in heaven every single day.
